Susan works as a sole proprietor with both public and private biopharma companies in areas of corporate reputation, media affairs, crisis management, and influencer engagement.

She is an award-winning journalist and communications leader, whose career includes serving as a network television correspondent, covering The White House, Capitol Hill, and two US Presidential Campaigns for CBS News; national news for NBC News Channel and financial news for Bloomberg News in Washington, DC. Most recently she served as an International News Anchor for China Global Television News in Washington, DC, where she regularly interviewed diplomats, former Ambassadors, think-tank fellows and CEOs for a global audience.

Susan became increasingly interested in healthcare, biotechnology and biopharma communications while working with the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, the world’s largest biotech trade association in Washington, DC. She worked directly with CEO Jim Greenwood’s speechwriter, staff and member organizations on thought provoking critical communications and strategy related to new legislation. She regularly researched and wrote monthly articles, blogs and op-eds advocating policy on behalf of the organization’s members.

Presently, she is advising her clients on communications related to mergers, critical company financial announcements, clinical updates and crises. She frequently taps into her long-standing relationships in the media to raise her clients’ profiles and advance their message. She has helped enhance their reputations and built favorable perceptions among critical stakeholders, including the media, shareholders, and the broader public.
